A curious mind, wandering across all sides of the table, searching for meaning in the in-between. Through stories, I invite you to pause, to think, to feel and to re-live what you thought had passed.

Stories…. you probably remembered some story which you liked after reading the word.
Let’s talk about stories.

Stories have an impact on everyone.

They last longer.

They are remembered eternally.

They connect people in a way no one can understand.

Now, what will you say if you get to know that stories can save lives, change people’s trajectory, transform them entirely?

Why does visual media have more impact than traditional books?

Try recalling your best day in your life till now. I bet you could recall it in a scenery way like a video of you just living your best day. Try recalling those texts you have sent to your loved ones. You’d not only just recall the sentences alone, but the emotions and feelings associated with those at that time.

And this is why they stay imprinted in our minds deeply. We remember and change mostly when we are connected to certain things at an emotional level.

One such media platform which greatly captured attention of people irrespective of age groups they belong in is, Anime – A style of animation originated in Japan.

Remember Son Goku, from Dragon Ball series? People like him because the way his story embarks shows how one should never give up and always strive to get better. They connect with him more than real role models.

In recent protests, people, mostly GenZ, were seen flying a pirate flag from a famous show called One-Piece, which symbolizes freedom and liberalization from corrupt governments and systems. People from different regions, communities are getting inspired by these anime shows and started contributing to the welfare of the society. One such example is a group called “Akatsuki Afkar” who dresses up in the Akatsuki cloaks from the Naruto anime series and distributes food and rations to the poor, especially during Ramadan. And by using the costumes they gained attention needed to get them more help from others than through traditional ways.

What makes visual media like this so connected and leaving a mark on people is its high impact, fast, guided correlation with the viewers.

This effect is not limited to only anime, even animated movies like Kung Fu Panda, Inside Out, Finding Nemo all portrays raw real-life situations that many go through and presents a new perspective on approaching them. These visual media are powerful because they simplify complex ideas, thoughts and amplify them through the character design which lets people connect on deeper levels and reach many audiences.

As we all know….

A good pitch can make or break a deal. Be it in life or business.

Similarly, a good story, though subjective, will last and have a life-changing perspective on them and others.

So, from now on you watch a story unravelling before you, keep in mind that it’s not just entertainment. Look, absorb what it’s trying to tell you. We never know that somewhere between those frames, dialogues and the over-whelming emotions, there might be a lesson, a push that you may need or waiting for you.

And who knows?
The story that changes your life might be the one you decide to truly feel.

We don’t just consume stories.

We become them!
